- plating finishes include chrome, bright nickel, brushed nickel or copper
- we plate on steel, pot metal, aluminum, brass and cast iron
- welding, soldering and brazing on various metals including pot metal
- polishing and buffing on stainless steel and aluminum
Finish Quality:
At
Kelowna Electroplating we offer two grades of chrome
plated finish quality so that you can choose a finish
that meets your needs and budget.
-
Factory Quality or Regular Chrome:
Typically this grade of plating is used on accident repairs, insurance claims and smaller parts where minor imperfections are less noticable. Our goal with Factory Quality is to have your parts looking the same as they did when new from the factory. -
High Quality or Copper Buffed Chrome:
This is by far our most popular grade of plating for bumpers and restoration parts. Extra care and attention is added in all phases of production and your parts are plated with copper and buffed to a mirror finish prior to the final nickel and chrome plating process. The result is a deeper, richer finish that will have a high degree of reflectivity.
Pricing & Order Information:
Upon receipt of your parts we will itemize and photograph all parts and contact
you to give you a final cost for repair and replating. No work will begin until
we have your approval to proceed. At this time we require a 50% deposit of your
total order cost.
Part Preparation:
All parts must be completely disassembled prior to us
being able to quote on repair and plating costs. Parts
also must be free of grease and oil.
Please do not
grind or sandblast your parts prior to sending to us.
Generally this results in extra repair work which in
turn is extra cost for you.
Completion Time:
We cannot
guarantee completion dates. You will be given an estimated
time when we expect to have your parts finished but we
cannot guarantee a date your parts will be finished. Our
number one goal is to produce quality work - not meet a
deadline. Restoration work on pot metal and show quality
finishes take a great deal of time and attention to
complete. Please try to plan ahead.
